The Growing Need for Diversity and Inclusive Financial Advice
Recent years have underscored the pressing need for greater diversity and inclusion in financial advisory services. Despite some progress, there remains a noticeable lack of diversity not only in terms of gender but also racial orientation within the financial services industry. Even searching for "Asian Financial Planner" yields limited results, mostly catering to expats in Asia rather than those in the United Kingdom. Despite ongoing industry improvements, many individuals still feel underrepresented, with less than 10% of management roles in financial services held by individuals from black, Asian, or other ethnic minority backgrounds.
